Huqin master Wong On-yuen, who conjures a dazzling spectrum of colours from just two strings, will join forces with a host of young local huqin performers and the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble for an evening of his own compositions, premieres, and signature repertoire. The concert marks a long-awaited reunion between Wong and his audience, and through a night of huqin classics, it sparks a moving interplay between heritage and innovation. Presented by the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble as part of the Chinese Culture Festival 2026, the concert features Wong On-yuen as artistic director and huqin soloist, with 何文川 and 司徒健 conducting.
