The Lecture Series: Hong Kong Music Stories Series – All to start from the Libraries is introduced by the "Hong Kong Music Special Collections Acquisition Campaign" of the Hong Kong Central Library, which has been ongoing for 25 years since 2001. Dr. 鄭學仁 reviews his work in music documentation and shares the stories of six musicians who have been pivotal in Hong Kong's music culture. The series consists of six lectures, paying tribute to the musicians of previous generations. The lectures revisit the joys and sorrows of 25 years of music documentation work, as well as the encounters with musicians, weaving together many touching Hong Kong music stories. This "rescue" work, racing against time, ostensibly preserves documents, but behind it lies a rich memory of Hong Kong's music culture.
