This opera, transcending tradition, is destined to become a cultural event sweeping the globe. Uniting a stellar cast from the worlds of Cantonese opera, Western opera, and musical theatre, accompanied live by an orchestra blending Chinese and Western instruments, it weaves a moving love story that spans time and space—under masterful stage design, through gripping new original music, singing, recitation, acting, acrobatics, martial arts, and choreography, this new masterpiece will perfectly demonstrate how diverse cultures can harmoniously converge, conveying a message of peace while awakening audiences to reflections on humanity's fate. Sleepless Moon is presented by 香港藝穗節, marking the world premiere of an original East-West fusion opera. The work brings together top artists from the three disciplines of Cantonese opera, Western opera, and musical theatre, accompanied by a live orchestra of Chinese and Western instruments, presenting a love narrative across time and space in a novel format.
