National treasure-level Henan opera master Ma Jinfeng (馬金鳳) created the "shuai dan" (帥旦) role type, blending elements of qingyi (青衣), daomadan (刀馬旦), and wusheng (武生) performance styles. Her artistic style is vigorous and bold, with a pure, rounded voice and rich, mellow charm, earning her the nickname "Luoyang Peony" (洛陽牡丹). The Luoyang Henan Opera Troupe (洛陽豫劇院) presents this "one hanging, two flowers" (一掛兩花) classic feast — Guan Meili (關美利), a direct disciple of Ma Jinfeng, joins forces with multiple Plum Blossom Award winners and first-rank actors to revive representative Ma-style repertoire: "Mu Guiying Takes Command" (《穆桂英掛帥》) showcases the majestic valour of a female general; "Hua Da Chao" (《花打朝》) features the fiery and unrestrained Seventh Aunt; and "Hua Qiang Yuan" (《花槍緣》) uses exquisite singing to recount forty years of deep-seated resentment and affection.
