"Joy" (樂) holds a dual beauty — in the search for music (音樂), it simultaneously blossoms into infinite happiness (快樂). Ma Wai-him (馬瑋謙), principal suona player of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (香港中樂團) and an artist supported by the National Arts Fund, hopes to use this concert to trace his own journey step by step: starting from the Cantonese music he absorbed from childhood, drawing on the rich essence of Chinese opera from across the country, undergoing rigorous academic training, then colliding with a jazz fusion band to create a cross-border new sound, and finally reinterpreting Chinese music through modern, innovative approaches — taking you on a journey in search of joy.
