While we are still young, anything is possible — the Kamēr... Youth Choir from Latvia and the Toronto Children's Chorus from Canada will join forces for the first time on the stage of the 2026 World Choral Festival, presenting a choral feast that transcends age and borders. Kamēr... Youth Choir is the only choir in the world to have won the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing four times; the ellipsis in its name symbolises the core concept of "while..." Renowned for its unique vocal style and visual impact, it has repeatedly won gold medals at world choral competitions and achieved an undefeated record in the "Choir Wars" of the Latvian Song Festival. The Toronto Children's Chorus, comprising eight age groups, has nurtured young voices for nearly half a century; its senior chamber choir has performed on world stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House, and has completed 33 international tours representing Canada. This concert is organised by the World Youth and Children's Choral Artists Association. Kamēr...'s current Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Jurģis Cābulis (Jurģis Cābulis) and Conductor Patriks Kārlis Stepe (Patriks Kārlis Stepe) will lead this amateur yet professionally-standard choir, performing alongside the Toronto Children's Chorus under the baton of internationally renowned Artistic Director Professor Zimfira Poloz (Zimfira Poloz).
