Growing up in a primitive, savage reservation, young John yearns for civilisation and follows Lenina into the technologically advanced World State. When his profound soul and Shakespearean poetry collide with a society that relies on drugs and sex while rejecting all emotion, the immense cultural rift reduces him to the loneliest outsider — this is the story of *The Last Savage* (*末代野人*). Adapted from Aldous Huxley's century-old classic *Brave New World*, Dim Sum Theatre (點解舞台) extracts the contemporary core of "sexual promiscuity" and "amusing ourselves to death." Using their bodies as language, Hong Kong actors portray both the wildness of the Savage Reservation and the absurdity of the World State, refocusing this classic through a fresh lens on stage. *The Last Savage* is Dim Sum Theatre's fourth season annual production, a devised theatre work developed over a year, starring Chan Fai-huen (陳暉鏇), Cheng Yuet (鄭悅), Mak Long-wai (麥朗惟), and Mak Wing-tung (麥詠彤). Performed in Cantonese, the programme runs approximately 2 hours with free seating. It contains coarse language and adult content, is not suitable for children under 12, and features loud sounds and strobe lighting effects.
