About the show
Global Steinway Artist and UNESCO Beijing "Peace Ambassador" Tian Jiaxin (田佳鑫), a Chinese female pianist who won the Manhattan School of Music's highest piano honour, the "Harold Bauer Award", and became the first Chinese woman to be listed on the New York Post's名人榜, will embark on a national tour of her piano recital in 2026. From the perspective of a professional pianist, she will bring depth and new heights to "children's music", allowing more parents to experience pieces closely tied to their children's piano learning lives. At the same time, she will interpret the cultural essence of Chinese musical works, using familiar melodies to convey the power of our own culture, paying tribute to and blessing the motherland with music, cheering for the motherland, and highlighting that "only what is national is universal", allowing audiences to feel the different stylistic characteristics of Chinese and foreign musical works. This concert is presented by Shenzhen Bay Arts Centre (深圳濱海藝術中心), with a programme divided into three chapters: Classical "Xin" Sound features Mozart's "Twelve Variations on 'Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman'" and Beethoven's "Appassionata" Sonata; Huaxia "Xin" Sound presents He Luting (賀綠汀)'s "The Cowherd's Flute", Wang Jianzhong (王建中)'s "Red Blossoms on the Mountain", Li Yinghai (黎英海)'s "Flute and Drum at Sunset", and Zhang Shuai (張帥)'s "Three Preludes"; Romantic "Xin" Sound performs Chopin's "Nocturne" and "Fantasie-Impromptu", as well as Liszt's "The Miller and the Brook" and "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12". The total performance duration is approximately 100 minutes, including an intermission, and features immersive video animations incorporating Chinese ink painting elements alongside piano music, suitable for audiences who love the fusion of classical music and Chinese culture.
