"The Chef with a Warped Worldview" follows a journalist who has worked for years on the TV show "Panic West (慌張西望)" and claims to be obsessively devoted to justice. He repeatedly pushes his career to the brink by trying to judge society's scum. Just as he's about to give up on becoming a "Taxi Judge," a mysterious call invites him to interview a chef whose worldview is completely shattered — judge and be judged, who is the real hypocrite? In "The Secondhand Girl," Ye Wah-wah (葉花華) is used to secondhand items and always puts herself second, until a heartbreak so painful it drives her mad makes her realise she might not be second, but third, fourth, or fifth — is being first the only safe place in the world? In "The One-Minute Man," protagonist Chan On-tai (陳安泰) has faked bad reception with "What? You're leaving?" over a hundred times, until his own ears actually fail, and all sounds arrive a minute late — wait for me one minute, and in one minute I'll hear your name. Performed by Yuen Wan-shan (阮韻珊), Lau Wai-yiu (劉煒燿), Hung Ka-chak (洪家澤), and Tailfeather Dance (舞尾飛駝), the three stories are strung together in a staged reading format, piercing through modern people's collective anxieties about justice, relationships, and communication amid decadence and absurdity.
