About the show

Step into "Playground (遊樂場)", and no one will ask how high you can climb, how fast you can run, or how far you can fly. This is an immersive experience that breaks boundaries, blending music, physical theatre, and multimedia art. Inspired by the concept of a playground, it redefines freedom and exploration — there are no right answers, only paths and feelings unique to each individual. On stage, performers of diverse backgrounds and abilities create together; no one is merely a symbol — every presence is an indispensable part of the work. What you enter is not a one-way performance, but a live, generative space where everyone responds to one another. Senses of hearing, sight, and bodily perception open up simultaneously — you don’t need to understand music or dance, just follow your body and come play. "Playground (遊樂場)" is presented by the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong’s "Art Without Barriers (藝無疆)". Artistic director Keith Lam (林欣傑) uses installations and projections to craft a fluid stage space, transforming the playground into a giant instrument where body, image, and sound co-create in real time, continuously responding to the rhythm and energy of the moment. Music director Cheung Wing-nok (張永諾) reimagines traditional folk songs and Nanyin, weaving them with original compositions to explore the fusion of the erhu with cross-genre possibilities in an interplay of instrumental and electronic soundscapes. Key performers include Lo King-san (盧敬燊), Chung Siu-king (鍾少琼), Fung Shu-ning (馮舒凝), and DJ Cyrus. The show is performed in Cantonese with Chinese and English subtitles and accessible services, suitable for ages six and above.
