About the show

If you never try, how will you know how far you can go? There are no age limits in artistic creation — everyone has their own light to shine! "Self-Play Trial Blast Project (自我放戲 試爆企劃)" is a space for young creators to boldly experiment and break through, guided by professional mentorship as they create and practice, bringing the ideas in their minds step by step onto the stage. This project features two staged readings: the first work, "Arctic Fox by the Frozen Lake (冰凍湖畔的北極狐)" (also known as A Solo Hiking Journey), tells the story of two people who once made a pact: if the world truly had answers, they would head north together to search by the frozen lake. But in the end, only the promise remains — one person leaves, and the other sets off. She shoulders hiking gear she has never truly used, carrying a question that was never clearly articulated, and steps into a world gradually breaking away from the rules of reality — an arctic fox accompanies her, deserts snow with water, seawater erases footprints, a snowy mountain hides a galaxy, and a compass cannot find direction. When she reaches the lake, does the answer still matter? The second work, "A Soul in the Pitch (一球入魂)", focuses on rookie pitcher Cheung Cho-kiu (張楚翹), who moves up from the reserve team to the first team, encountering a top-tier catcher known for his steady excellence and a seasoned veteran who works quietly in the background. Believing his outstanding abilities will secure him a spot, he instead finds that professional league brings challenges beyond imagination; a series of on-field mistakes leaves him deeply frustrated, forcing him to re-examine himself and confront his inner demons — is mastering the trajectory of different pitches a way to extend his career, or a means to avoid his problems? This project is led by Lo Yi-king (盧宜敬), guiding the works from creation to meeting the audience, allowing you to personally experience how the pieces are polished and grow. Main cast includes Ho Tsz-y
