Hong Kong double bassist Nelson Fung (馮晟睎) leads the modern jazz ensemble The Water at the Fringe Club this July! The band features an unusual lineup, boldly combining two drummers, two double bassists, a Eurorack modular synthesizer, and guitars, violins, and saxophones drenched in effects — elements commonly found in post-rock. If you're interested in jazz and experimental music, don't miss this! The band's sound is influenced by Liberation Music Orchestra, Jakob Bro Large Ensemble, Paul Motion, and Godspeed You!
