A young couple, an attempt to build a home—from sex, work, having children, parents, strange neighbours, to cleaning out the fridge, dancing—jump-cut scenes, distilled language, piecing together fragments of daily life to reveal the brutal truth of intimacy: the closer, the more it shakes; the more you love, the more you resist. A love trap—is cohabitation hell? In the name of love, are you prepared to adapt and accommodate another person? This September, love and destruction entwined. This is the Hong Kong premiere of the work 《Play House》 by renowned contemporary British playwright Martin Crimp, performed by 馬嘉潁, 張俊文, and 黃朗然. The director and two actors will blend text with devising, using theatre to respond to the fragility and volatility of modern love.
