A Journey Through German-Austrian Music takes you across the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras, savouring the classic world penned by German-Austrian composers—from the sprightly minuet, the tender and delicate adagio, to the dramatic art song. How do joy and humour, deep affection and tension interweave through melody, rhythm, and timbre? Each note is a journey, inviting you to experience these elegant yet vibrant German-Austrian masterpieces firsthand. This is the third anniversary concert of Sonorita Orchestra, featuring special guest tenor Sun Tsz-ho (孫梓浩), who brings the rich emotion and dramatic shifts of art songs to the programme. Sun is active on both local and international music stages, having performed over 30 cantatas and taken on major operatic roles, with a mature and profound interpretative style that has drawn notable attention. Founded in 2021, the orchestra focuses on classical, anime, and film music, bringing together amateur players and working professionals who, under the conductor's baton, perform together in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere, transforming from strangers into musical friends who grow together. Highlights include Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, Haydn's Symphony No. 94 in G major "Surprise", Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A major, and Schubert's art song "Erlkönig". The programme runs approximately 1.5 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
