About the show

Ming Yin College's 60th Anniversary Musical "Our Story" brings together sixty years of Ming Yin spirit through music and dance. One late night, two groups of Form 5 students sneak into a dusty storage room to rehearse a flash mob performance, only to find themselves accidentally trapped inside. During their time there, they discover the stories of the founding principal Mr. King, Principal Chan Siu-choi, PE teacher Mrs. Wong Poon Woon-fong, and janitor Lau Fei. As the students work to escape the storage room, a wondrous journey leads them through sixty years of Ming Yin College's history. What do the students uncover? Can they overcome the challenges and successfully complete their performance? "Our Story" is not just about these students—it's about all of us "Ming Yin people," including students, teachers, and alumni! Founded in 1966 in Shek Kip Mei, the Church of Christ in China Ming Yin College has created this original production to celebrate its 60th anniversary, paying tribute to the significant figures in the school's history. The performance is presented jointly by students, teachers, and alumni of Ming Yin College, performed in English with English and Traditional Chinese subtitles, running approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. This is a collective memory belonging to the Ming Yin community and a heartfelt reflection on six decades of school history, suitable for alumni, faculty, students, and all audiences interested in Hong Kong's educational stories to witness.
