About the show

Fong Yeuk-ching (方若晴), a young social worker fresh out of university, is busy handling cases involving families of ex-offenders while hiding a secret she has never told anyone — she is taking care of her younger sister, who is still in primary school. Years ago, their mother passed away from illness; their father was imprisoned for a crime, leaving Yeuk-ching and her grandmother to shoulder the burden of raising the little girl. She always cares deeply for her clients, yet neglects her own and her sister's needs. Her sister's emotions and behaviour have undergone drastic changes, and she constantly yearns to turn back time by riding the "Superluminal Blue Bus" to the past. This original musical, presented by So Sing Theatre Troupe (甦星劇團), marks the tenth anniversary of the "Blue Bus Jockey Club Growing Together Project". Performed in Cantonese, the show runs approximately 120 minutes and includes a post-show sharing session. It is suitable for audiences aged 11 and above. Through an interplay of dance and music, *Superluminal Blue Bus* explores the inner struggles of family members of ex-offenders amidst drastic family upheaval — with a particular focus on young caregivers and neglected children searching for an escape between reality and fantasy. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the troupe deeply integrates social services with artistic creation, presenting a moving story about regret, longing, and growth.
