We are deeply honoured to invite two legendary figures of Cantonese opera — Mr. Ng Chin-fung (吳仟峰), affectionately known as "Chai Gor" (仔哥), and Ms. Nam Fung (南鳳), known as "Fung Jie" (鳳姐) — alongside a host of young performers, to present two classic masterpieces of the late great "Cheung Gor" (祥哥). This year marks the 110th anniversary of Cheung Gor's birth, so Chai Gor has specially selected two of Cheung Gor's signature works in his memory — *The Romantic Emperor* (風流天子) and *Lust Is the Root of All Evil* (萬惡淫為首). One solemn, one playful, these pieces showcase the timeless charm of traditional Cantonese opera and serve as a heartfelt tribute to the master Sun Ma Sze-tsang (新馬師曾). The Phoenix Cantonese Opera Troupe (鳳凰粵劇團) proudly presents this production, led by Ng Chin-fung and Nam Fung, with a formidable cast including Leung Wai-hong (梁煒康), Fu Shu-wang (符樹旺), and Wong Shing-ban (黃成彬), recreating the essence of Cheung Gor's signature works with meticulous staging. The convergence of these operatic titans, combined with the vitality of younger performers, promises audiences an authentic experience that also carries the spirit of passing the torch.
