Using the sound of music as a vessel, the lost thousand-year melodies of Dunhuang are brought back to life — journeying from Dunhuang to the Forbidden City, and onward to museums around the world. Along the profound path of Chinese culture, we learn bit by bit, accumulate bit by bit, and are inspired bit by bit. This concert gathers the musical creations of the Hong Kong Tianlian Dunhuang Ensemble (香港天籟敦煌樂團) from different stages over the past eight years, selecting representative works from each phase. The entire programme is woven together by the concept of a "musical pilgrimage," allowing the audience to follow the ensemble's footsteps and experience the inheritance and transformation of Dunhuang and Forbidden City cultures through music. As the ensemble's first performance under the Venue Partnership Scheme, this musical pilgrimage is specially designed to introduce the artistic journey and musical philosophy of the group to the broad audience in the Sha Tin district, enabling the public to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the ensemble's development and characteristics.
