Opening the wardrobe is like opening the scene of one's life. The "power suit" for the corporate grind, the "evening gown" that witnessed grand occasions, the old "skirt" that no longer fits but can't bear to toss—each garment measures the distance of a relationship. Several women take the stage, chatting and laughing, poking fun at themselves for compromising in love, at their fluctuating figures, while candidly speaking of loss and fresh starts. Love has its measurements; relationships, like bodies, loosen and tighten. Only when we learn to tailor our own lives do we truly wear the choices that are ours. This is a theatre piece for the second Hong Kong Golden Age Arts Festival, produced by "Theatre". *Love Has Measurements* turns the wardrobe into a stage through intimate conversations between women and their clothes, wrapping weighty life themes in light-hearted banter. The women take turns sharing their stories—from work suits to evening gowns to old skirts—each garment carrying a memory, each wardrobe opening a moment of self-reflection. The performance presents, with warmth and candour, the tug-of-war women face between love and self, and how they set out anew after loss. It suits audiences who appreciate realist theatre and are drawn to questions of body and identity.
