About the show
SMILE™+ Chung Ying Theatre Company's Youth Theatre 2026/27 First Round Auditions are now open for applications—this platform is more than just learning to act; it's a space for young people to express themselves, explore creativity, and convey emotions. Through the art of drama, members can gain deeper self-understanding and uncover their potential; through rigorous training, they cultivate a disciplined attitude toward personal standards and serious work; through professional guidance, they elevate their acting skills and build respect for the performing arts; through stage performances, they put their learning into practice, developing analytical and problem-solving skills amid challenges. Members experience teamwork through close collaboration, relish the unique atmosphere of co-creating and supporting one another in the rehearsal room, and forge lasting friendships through exchange. Every young person can find their own light, building confidence under the motto "Learn seriously, play seriously," and grow together with the team. Organised by Chung Ying Theatre Company, this programme is divided into a Primary Group (Primary 4 to 6) and a Secondary Group (Secondary 1 to 5). Classes are conducted in Cantonese, spanning four terms with a total of 42 sessions; the first term consists of nine sessions, and an additional performance fee is required for the third and fourth terms. Auditions are held via interviews, with no refunds for absentees; applicants must select a course matching their current school grade. Clear guidelines are provided for class arrangements and adverse weather conditions, all paid fees are non-refundable, and the company reserves the final right to cancel or modify courses. If you're at a stage of seeking self-discovery and eager to grow, this is your stage.
