Even as heroes age and mountains and rivers fall silent, a surge of passion, a single obsession, a devoted love—this symphonic concert blends tradition and modernity through innovative arrangement and performance, carrying both the rigor and depth of classical music and the vibrant diversity of modern sound. In the grand scene of a martial-arts symphonic concert, silk and bamboo instruments intertwine with the clash of metal and horses, traditional folk music merges with Western orchestral instruments, and through their unique timbres and imagery, a sweeping, soul-stirring scroll of the jianghu unfolds. Throughout the concert, folk and Western instruments are no longer mere tools—they become the embodiment of the martial world, the voice of heroes, the breath of mountains and rivers. In the symphony of silk and bamboo, what we hear is not just music, but the echo of a thousand years of chivalric spirit—though time flows on, righteousness never fades; though heroes grow old, the sound of the zither endures. Presented by 深圳濱海藝術中心, the 《滄海一聲笑》Sino-Western Symphonic Concert weaves a rich fusion of timbres, pairing the distinctive ethnic flavor of folk instruments like the erhu and bamboo flute with the graceful tones of orchestral strings and piano, producing a diverse and layered sonic palette.
