This workshop teaches you to use the "stream of consciousness" method to write a stage script—starting from scratch, developing characters, and creating a story that is entirely your own. Are you ready to turn the surging thoughts in your mind into dialogue and scenes on stage? Participants will have the chance to stay on and watch Back Yard Theatre Ensemble's (BYTE) double bill performance that evening, experiencing firsthand the magic of bringing words to life on stage. This workshop is hosted by Back Yard Theatre Ensemble, known for creating original, improvisationally devised theatre works that provide ensemble-making opportunities for actors in Melbourne and across Australia, with annual tours both domestically and internationally. This time, BYTE collaborates with Germany's JAHRMARKTTHEATER BOSTELWIEBECK and Terang Theatre Group, bringing an international perspective to the workshop.
