About the show
Teresa Mo (毛舜筠) gives it her all! Lam Yat-hei (林日曦) presents his latest work, the wildly eccentric stage play *The Great Death-Defying Stand* (*大死撐日*), a colossal fantasy theatre production. The show blends a couple of Cantonese opera songs with dance and singing—it incorporates Cantonese opera elements but is far from traditional opera. Why go it alone in a desperate stand? Better to have a whole crew join in the chaos! The story revolves around a group of people facing absurd situations and their extreme struggles, exploring the meaning of "holding on till the end" through black humour. It's laughter through tears, absurd yet moving. Created by Lam Yat-hei (林日曦) and starring Teresa Mo (毛舜筠), Lam Yat-hei (林日曦), Michael Ning (白只), Yeung Wai-lun (楊偉倫), and Wu Lai-ying (胡麗英), the production fuses Cantonese opera songs with dance and non-traditional theatrical forms to deliver a madcap, fantastical stage spectacle. During the pre-sale period, tickets were in such high demand that an emergency expansion to 37 performances was announced. All tickets are now sold out, making it an impossible ticket to get.
